The old gaming days

For a veteran gamer like me will never forgot their first console games they played. I still remember the Nintendo console, the family computer. Mario 1 is my very first game I played that is when I’m on kindergarten days. I still hearing the sound of Mario when jumping on those days. Me and my friends play mimicking Mario and Luigi and also Bowser a.k.a. King Koopa. In a young age I’m early exposed of gaming, I skip classes when I was on the fifth grade, I got hooked in super Nintendo console playing legend of Zelda; link’s awakening (wow complete title!!). And my grandmother noticed me I’m always early go home from school (but I’m really come from computer shop) even though I have my own console. But I didn’t forgot my studies as well, I’m still on the baseball team from grade 5 to grade 6, while playing console games (I play games from 1-9 hours in a day). That’s my life when I’m still on grade school.

Then on my high school life (hmm.. still playing as well) but in different platform right now. The Playstation 1 gathered many players because of the very 2d/3d graphics. On that time I was not that active on playing but I still playing, and finishing lots of games (maybe more than 50 games I already finished on PS1). Having a girl and my own Radio station in campus makes me busy.

After my high school graduation my blood of gaming revived!! My parents want me to go to college but I refused.(wait!! I refused but I’m forced to study just to have some money to play, quite shabby huh). I hooked on PC, playing counter-strike and other PC games (except online games because on that time there’s no online games ever released, if ever they release the internet fee is high price costing 40 pesos per hour on a pc shop). I’m sucked on it within 2 years. Having my girl within 2 years and gaming for my entire life.

My parents noticed I didn’t get serious of my college course (my course on that years is computer electronics), so my father bought me my own PC to quit playing PC outside. And that year released Ragnarok Online thanks to my father and he bought me one (hahaha). How did I have an internet? I’ve learned that having a landline you can access internet with a dial-up modem, so I earn my money and buy one. I focused on studying and going home without eating my dinner and directly log on to the game. I only sleep in 4 in the morning then wake up 7 in the morning in that day also (I only have four hours of sleeping). I thank internet access instead of attending school I just open an internet explorer and research related on my course (while playing RO). I more understand the explanation on the internet than my professor so I started skipping classes and hooked in online games. That’s my life on college days, instead of studying my course in 2 years it takes long of 4 ½ years.

And now… I have no work… just a bystander. Learning on internet is not enough you really need a diploma to gain some job. What is knowledge if you haven’t a diploma to show? But I’m proud of my knowledge some of the college graduate finished their course without learned or they just learned a little. And having their own job not related to their course taken. Especially my batch mates they graduate but look their job is not related to it. For me I think I’m lot more better than me even though I haven’t a regular job I still earn something on Repairing / Analyzing PC, Web designing etc.

So for all gamers out there study well and not just study based on books huh.
